Quantum Minesweeper
Quantum Minesweeper
The mines aren't anywhere yet.
The instant you reach for a cell, they scatter again. They aren't running from you. They simply haven't been decided.
The numbers on the board flicker. Maybe a 1. Maybe a 5. Nothing is settled, so nothing will give you a straight answer.
But the flickering slows. Move by move the world narrows, until the mines run out of places to hide and quietly surface.
Then you reach for a flag, and the board asks you a question. Do you place it because you know — or because you're willing to find out? Guess right and the board opens up. Guess wrong and it only costs you time.
You were never unlucky. It just hadn't happened yet.
Go on. Touch the first cell. Whether there's a mine under it is up to you.
